What our clients say about us
We have worked with Dr. Scheblein since April 2022 with our 11 year old Labrador Retriever. Bruno sustained a cruciate tear while jumping out of the river. We opted for the TPLO surgery in March 2022. Between March and April our boy declined substantially. His pain was unmanageable, his ROM was severely restricted and depression was setting in. We were at the point of discussing whether it was best to put him down as he seemed to be getting worse each day. A veterinarian friend of ours suggested that we look into physical therapy before we did anything drastic. Within a day or so we were in the office of Dr. Scheblein. She was surprised with the amount of muscle loss as well as his pain levels. She immediately went to work assessing his condition, all the while talking with us and explaining what her thoughts were and how we were going to get him to a better place. She answered all our questions, supported and listened to our concerns and shared in our worries and hopes. During our consultation she never gave up hope that we could get him through this tough time.
She provided us with bi-weekly activities that would be done at home (must do). Within a week we started seeing little improvements. He received acupuncture and laser therapy twice a week for the first few weeks, then about a month later he started receiving chiropractic services as well. By June he was camping with our family, was able to walk around the campsite and was even able to get in the water to walk (no swimming). Mid June he was doing underwater treadmill therapy. We had our boy back! Pain was under control, depression gone, ROM significantly improved and energy levels returning to normal. None of this could have happened without the unwavering care and dedication of Dr. Scheblein. If your dog is struggling post surgery, post injury or age related soreness/limited range of motion, do your dog a favor and make an appointment to meet with Dr. Scheblein. She is amazing, supportive and dedicated to the care of her patients. Our boy turned 12 in August, he wouldn’t have made it without the doc. The power of Rehab!

“Our Dalmatian developed crippling spinal stenosis in his lumbar spine. Oral pain meds made him vomit, so he could only get some relief from high enough doses of CBD to knock him out. We were facing a terrible decision because of his suffering. His Vet at Sacramento Animal Hospital suggested we try acupuncture. From the very first treatment, he had a tremendous response, with noticeably less pain, gradual improvement of his foot drop and incontinence, and improved muscle control of his back legs. I do not exaggerate when I say it made the difference between life and death for our beloved boy, and improved his quality of life dramatically. Thank you Dr Scheblein, we are forever in your debt.”

“Since we began with Dr. Scheblein in the summer of 2022, our cats’ quality of life has dramatically improved! Dinah receives laser therapy and acupuncture regularly for her neurodegenerative spinal disease. Before appointments, she had trouble walking and would regularly voice her discomfort. After her session, Dinah is so relaxed that she takes a nap, and when she wakes up, is happy that she can walk lightly on her feet once again. Without these treatments, I can say that Dinah would not have the same quality of life. To know that her life has been extended (literally) because of these treatments has made this the BEST treatment decision for Dinah. Dr. Scheblein’s talent for understanding animals’ needs has our highest respect and praise!”
